Baseball 2026 Spring

Newington Little League 2026 Spring Season for ages 5-16 year olds**. Please see the age chart below to determine your baseball age. Please enter your birthdate appropriately as this will determine what division you are eligible for.

**Baseball age 4 year olds are allowed and encouraged to enter the Tee Ball division to get an extra bonus year of experience

Due to the flat reduced registration cost, the Tee Ball program is NOT eligible for the early bird pricing as it is built into the registration cost.
Juniors is NOT eligible for early bird pricing as the price structure at this level of play is significantly different than lower levels of play.

Softball 2026 Spring

2026 Softball Spring Season 6-14 years old

All games will be played within District 5 which includes travel to surrounding towns (typically Berlin, New Britain, Plainville, Bristol and others). Junior teams may travel further based on availability of teams. The spring season runs from early March thru early June.

Softball skills assessment will be held on Sunday, March 1nd 2026 starting at 12:30PM. This is required for all softball players ages 8-14 who were not on a Major or Junior Division roster by Fall 2025. More information will follow. All players will be evaluated in hitting, throwing, and fielding drills. Regardless of the division of play a child intends on playing all players MUST take part in the skills assessment. The process allows each coach to assess the basic skills of each eligible player to aid in the player selection process.

Age determination for a Little League Softball player is the actual age of a child as of January 1st of the current year. These dates identify the “league age” as it relates to the division of play. Please use the League Age Chart to help chose the right level.

Challenger Baseball 2026

2026 Spring Little League Challengers.

CHALLENGER BASEBALL OVERVIEW-

Clinics and games for children with special needs, physical or developmental challenges
Players do not need to have any baseball knowledge. We welcome and encourage all children to participate, learn some baseball skills, have fun, and become part of a team and their community
Please note due to the registration affiliation with National Little League, the forms have set min and max birthdate fields, therefore, two separate registrations were created. Be advised both registrations will be combined into a single Challengers Team.
