Instructional softball focuses on throwing, catching and hitting.

Eligible Players are Little League Age 5 or 6 with at least 1 year experience playing in T-Ball OR Players Little League Age 7 or 8 with no experience.  Players are assigned to a team. Practice 1 time per week and 1 Game per week with surrounding towns. No Tryouts for this level. Coach pitch.

If you have any interest in helping in the dugout or on the field during practice or games, please sign up as a Team Volunteer as part of the registration process.  No experience is necessary.

The summer season will be developmental and fun, while providing competitive play and travel to local towns. Regular LL softball rules apply. Practice and/or games 2-3 times per week.

Majors season will run the week of July 5th thru August 5th. Games\practices will be held on two weeknights with no weekend games.

Games will be played within D7 league and include travel to other towns (Wethersfield, Rocky Hill, Cromwell, Glastonbury, East Hartford).

Past experience is recommended, but not required.  We would like to try and have 2 majors teams this summer to allow those girls SB age 10 who have played minors in the past to begin to have experience on majors ahead of next spring.  Please keep in mind that majors use a 12" ball and we will be playing other towns that typically have older girls on their teams. Girls will want at least a 12.5" or larger glove

Newington Little League is looking to field a 15U team with Northern CT Girl's Softball League for the 2023 summer season.

15U is open to girls SB age 13, 14, or 15.  Their is a potential waiver process for SB age 12. Use the LL age chart.  Rules will be similiar to LL

We need at least 12 players or we will not have a team.

15U will play teams from the surrounding area.  Currently that includes West Hartford, East Hartford\Hebron, East Haddam\East Hampton, and Simsbury. The season will run from June 26th thru August 11th. Playoffs will start 8/7 at Fast Pitch Nation.  Girls will play approx 10 games and playoffs.

Games will typically be Tuesdays\Thursdays with the possibility of some Fridays.

Costs are $120 which covers insurance, field fees, umpires, uniform tops.  Girls will need to provide their own equipment and black pants.  There will be no refunds once registration closes.  If the team is not filled, refunds will be issued minus a small processing fee to cover credit card transaction costs.
